The company was one of the first manufacturers to read the signs of time correctly, in regards to the change of how bathrooms are perceived, and to react accordingly. With burgbad, the bathroom becomes part of the living area and fits naturally in almost any style at home.

WOOD – REMAINING LOYAL - THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

Being one of the few bathroom product manufacturers from Germany, burgbad is also one of those keeping German production sites; they are in Bad Fredeburg, Greding and Lauterbach-Allmenrod.

THE MATERIALS OF BURGBAD

For washbasins and bathtubs burgbad uses the following materials:

Mineral Cast Rocksolid

Mineral Cast Rocksolid is made from 80% natural raw materials using state-of-the-art production technology and meets the highest standards of durability, flexibility and aesthetics. Due to the enormous flexibility of processing, mineral casting Rocksolid offers the possibility to manufacture sinks or other objects with millimeter precision and to connect them virtually seamlessly to the vanity top. The delicate and pleasantly warm surface does not only satisfy optical but also haptic demands.

Ceramics

Ceramics is a natural material and has been used for millennia. At burgbad, it meets the technical possibilities of the 21st century and is processed into flexible designs. The positive properties of the material help: The ceramic fired at 1,200 ° C is durable, dirt-repellent and resistant to surface and color.

THE SURFACES OF BURGBAD

Burgbad offers different surfaces for its furniture. Each of it has its own specific characteristics:

Real wood fronts

Real wood fronts are made of veneer from grown wood. The veneer is then bonded in a complex process under pressure with the substrate, sanded and painted several times, so that the natural character is preserved.

Lacquered fronts

MDF substrates are primed, lacquered several times and additionally polished in high gloss. Due to the complex process, these surfaces are considered to be the highest quality furniture surfaces.

Melamine fronts

These are plates that are surface-coated and finished with a circumferential thick edge.

Thermoforming fronts

Thermoforming fronts are produced by thermoforming. For this a PVC film is used. The advantage of the method is that the fronts and outsides are coated simultaneously without joints.

Acrylic fronts

Acrylic fronts convince with their intensive high-gloss depth effect. The panels are surface-coated and are seamlessly welded to the edge using innovative laser technology.
